Protection, visibility and magnification
All of our Fresnel lens products like PVC magnifying sheets and wide-angle rear window lenses for vehicles offer great visibility, magnification and protection. Our Taiwan-made screen magnification filters protect users from the glare, static energy and harmful radiation emitted by televisions and computer screens. In addition, screen magnification filters enlarge on-screen images by up to 50 percent while creating a 3-D effect. Of course, every one of our lenses is available in a wide variety of sizes.
In addition, a Fresnel lens' series of concentric grooves acts as an individual refraction surface, like tiny prisms, to bend parallel rays in a very close approximation to a common focal length. Because the lens is thin, very little light is lost by absorption. Fresnel lenses are most often used in light gathering applications, such as condenser systems or emitter/detector setups for solar power.
